We come to the final chapter of 1 John, and I can't wait to open it with you. John wrote this letter to believers who had been shaken. People they trusted had walked away and left them wondering, "Did we get it wrong? Are we really saved?" John's answer is in verse 13: "I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life." Maybe you've carried that same quiet question. Maybe life has shaken you this season, or someone you love has drifted from the faith. If so, this chapter is for you. John doesn't start with what you've done for God, but with what God has done in you, and he ends with a Savior whose grip on you is stronger than your grip on Him. I'd encourage you to read 1 John 5 and pray for one brother or sister who may be struggling right now.
