we’ll continue our study through 1 John as we open up chapter 3.
John begins with an incredible reminder: “See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.” (1 John 3:1)
From there, John gets very practical:

If we really are children of God, what should that begin to look like in our everyday lives?

How does knowing Jesus change our relationship with sin, the way we love others, and even the way we respond when our own hearts condemn us?
The good news is that John doesn’t start with what we need to do. He starts with who, by God’s grace, we already are.
