Acts 1: 1-11, Promise of the Holy Spirit, Jesus' ascension.

As Luke begins the Book of Acts,  it's like a flashback to the end of Luke 24. Luke references how Jesus hung out with his disciples for 40 days after coming back from the dead. During His time with the disciples Jesus tells them everything about the kingdom of God. My guess is that they were asking a bunch of questions. Wouldn't you ask a bunch of questions??

Right before He returns to heaven,  Jesus told his disciples about the coming of the Holy Spirit. He promised they'd get this amazing power to be his messengers, spreading the word from their hometown all the way across the globe. So, it's this moment where things shift. Jesus has returned to heaven, but there's this expectation of the Holy Spirit coming and these disciples gearing up to share Jesus's teachings everywhere.
