Rick Spainhour

Welcome! I'm Rick, and I'm delighted to invite you to join us at Proclaim Christ Church for our Sunday services and Thursday Bible study.

As an elder at our church, my greatest joy is helping others develop a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. I found my spiritual home at Proclaim Christ Church in Short Pump, where we focus on in-depth, verse-by-verse Bible teaching guided by the Holy Spirit.

I'm proud to have served in the Virginia Army National Guard's 180th Horizontal Construction Company from 2003 to 2011, including a tour in Iraq (2008-2009). During my service, I worked as both a cook and heavy equipment operator.

My wife Robin and I have been married since 2005, and we share a love for fishing and good food. Speaking of food, I enjoy cooking for family and friends – you'll have to try my signature banana pudding at one of our church functions! We have a lively dog named Sampson who keeps us on our toes, and I'm blessed with two wonderful children, Maria and Patrick.

Church ministry is central to our lives, and we look forward to welcoming you into our faith community.
